• Bridging Bars Bridging bars are designed to allow connection between the two power terminals from the same pole. For MLBS..CO units, they facilitate bridging power terminals on either the top or bottom side of the switch.

• Terminal Shrouds (Covers) / Terminal Screens These accessories provide crucial protection and phase separation, ensuring safety against accidental contact with terminals or connection parts.

• Auxiliary Contacts Auxiliary contacts provide essential pre-break and signalling of switch positions.

• MLBS Accessories for Wiring (Automation Control) These specialized accessories facilitate the integration of MLBS..CO into automated transfer switch systems, particularly with an ATSC25 controller.
  • Voltage Taps:Voltage taps allow voltage to be tapped directly off of power terminals. This provides a supply for elements like a control circuit or source presence indicator lamps.
  • Wire Harness: The ATSC25 cable harness provides a fast and reliable solution for connecting an MLBS transfer switch to an ATSC25 controller, enabling the creation of an Automatic Transfer Switch.

Application

The Motorised Change Over Load Break Switch (MLBS..CO) is a sophisticated switch designed for on-load transfer between two three-phase power supplies, primarily through remote control using volt-free contacts or an external automatic controller. MLBS..CO units utilize stable position technology, ensuring consistent contact pressure and preventing premature faults, and they do not require a power supply to maintain their position, thereby protecting loads from voltage fluctuations.

While the MLBS..CO is a motorized unit, a range of essential accessories is available to enhance its functionality, ensure safety, and facilitate its integration into automated systems. These accessories support various applications, including generator manufacturers, heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and telecommunications. The control and motorization section of the MLBS..CO can be easily replaced by removing just four screws, without affecting the installation cabling. Furthermore, maintenance can be performed easily under load, and manual operation is still available. The MLBS..CO switches are designed, qualified, and tested according to IEC 60947-3 and IEC 60947-6-1 standards.
